The Resurface Group was founded in 2018 by partners Ari Drosman, Jason Brumback, and Mike Boyer. At the time, each was independently doing something similar to what the Resurface model is today, and operated in their endeavors with a shared philosophy: unique people deserve help in unique ways. Drosman, Brumback, and Boyer all had experience in dual-diagnosis residential treatment and had noticed independently that that model, while amazing and helpful for many, didn’t always serve the outliers. The three had crossed paths over the years and decided to get together for coffee for the sole purpose of supporting each other and offering supervision for their separate endeavors. Ultimately the three realized that after a 1 hour meeting turned seamlessly into a 4 hour meeting, their shared perspective, passion, and unique specialties were perfectly suited to operate as a team and change the landscape of how those who fall through the cracks are helped.  

 

In the early days of Resurface Group, the three founding partners did everything from the luxury of a closet sized office. Luckily that proximity and shared work bred a trust and cohesion that is truly special in any company. The three feel incredibly lucky to have expanded their team with clinicians and coaches who are similarly passionate and like-minded. Today, Jason serves on the Resurface Leadership Board and Ari continues working with clients and families while also acting as clinical supervisor and helping Resurface Group continue to shape its unique personality and model of helping.
